Artist Profile
Sarah Pierroz is a Canadian artist and international arts educator; first teaching in Cairo, Egypt and then onto the Friuli-Venezia-Giula and Veneto region in Italy, at the United World College of the Adriatic for close to a decade. This is when she fell in love with Venice and came to illustrate and collect it's story for her upcoming book in October 2021: A Sketch of Venetian History.
-
She is now based out of South East Asia, where she shares her love for teaching yoga, breathwork, and meditative techniques, and where she explores the ocean and underwater world through diving and freediving. Much of her artwork reflects on her experiences with resounding movement, both in and out of the water, the subtle sense of expression and feeling deep within the body, and her love for nature.
-
Sarah was recently awarded the artist residency placement at Quetico Provincial Park from the Canadian Government.
-
Her work is in private collections worldwide.
-
Her art has also been exhibited at a number of group shows in Canada and Italy, and is featured in a fundraising platform, ArtLift Studios, to raise funds for children's education and women's business incentives in mountain communities in Nepal, primarily OCEAN Nepal, where she has visited the past 15 years.
